WHO'S MISSING? WHOSE MISSION?

PBC Missions Conference 2010
April 23-25
Missionary of the Week

Dan& Ginny Bryant, Guinea

Greetings from warm Guinea!,
We are continuing with language and culture study. Ginny & I are now doing most of our language sessions together, which is a help to both of us. We take turns throughout the day taking care of our two youngest, while our friend Debbie teaches the older two (both in 3rd grade). Aside from this, in the last month we've had to m ake a trip to Conakry for dental work; our coworkers here are helping us build a porch onto our house (still in process); and we've continued helping people with medical needs.

The most exciting development is that Ginny is now teaching a literacy course, which our co-workers began, along with a Landuma believer. She's always had a vision for teaching, and this provides her with a chance to do just that, while at the same time improving her own language skills. She's teaching four nights a week. Pray for her, for stamina - she comes home enthusiastic, but also tired.

We are grateful that the stability in the country seems to be improving - there have been some big changes in the last couple of months. One last prayer request - for an older woman in our village, Kadi, who seems to have believed the truth, but is quite sick with diabetes. Our team has helped her over the past several years, with medicine and doctor visits, including a foot amputation last year. It's been a bit of a difficult situation since her family has been reluctant to help her, and h as misused some of the money given in the past. Pray that the Lord would give us wisdom in these relationships, and would continue to work in Kadi's life, as well as soften the hearts of her family.

Thank you for your involvement in what the Lord is doing here, among the Landuma and in our lives as well.c
